Fourth Generation Viper SRT-10The Dodge Viper is a sports car sold by Chrysler. Production of this popular racing vehicle started in 1992 with the car featured in TV, movies, video games and music videos. The Dodge Viper is called the Dodge SRT-10 in the United Kingdom.
In 1996 Chrysler came out with the coupe model of the Viper that was nicknamed the "double bubble" because of its raised sections over each seat to give room for helmets worn by the occupants. Dodge Vipers are used for drag racing and other types of racing.
The Dodge Viper is a classic American sports car and in 2008 the Viper ACR-X was introduced to race in the Dodge Viper Cup Series. It isn't street legal and is sold for $110,000.
A cheaper version of the Dodge Viper was developed called the Dodge Copperhead. This car never reached production but Dodge did make a limited amount of special editions of the copperhead Viper. The car is painted in a copper color and is a collector's item.
